Bullying doesn’t just happen on the playground. Roughly one in five U.S. adults say they have directly experienced bullying on the job, according to a 2017 survey by the Workplace Bullying Institute. Quitting may also be the right move for your health, since research shows repeated bullying can trigger physical and mental health problems such as high blood pressure, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, and depression.
